The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has rejected the orders of the Central and State government, on the forceful retirement of Chhattigarh cadre Senior Officer IAS Babulal Agrawal.
After the recommendation of Chhattisgarh Government about the forceful retirement of the IAS officer in the unfavorable Confidential Report (CR), the Central government had earlier terminated his services.
Against the orders of government of forceful retirement, Babulal Agrawal approached the Central Administrative Tribunal, New Delhi.
The bench of Justice Pramod Kohli and Justice K.N. Shrivastava, announced the verdict after hearing the plea of the officer, on Thursday.
It has directed the State government to reinstate BL Agrawal services. As per the orders of CAT, he would have to be reinstated from the date of the retirement given to him. “His seniority has to be maintained”.
